St. Joseph feeder pig auction

The St. Joseph feeder pig auction, St. Joseph, Mo., Aug. 22, reported estimated receipts of 250 head, according to the USDA Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo.

Compared with last week, feeder pigs under 70 pounds sold steady to $1 higher, over 70 pounds showed a sharply higher undertone on light receipts. Demand was good. Prices paid per head on actual weights.

U.S. 1 to 2: package 39 lbs., 35.00; two packages 48 to 49 lbs., 45.00; 60 to 68 lbs., 50.25 to 53.50; package 72 lbs., 59.25.

U.S. 2 to 3: Package 41 lbs., 32.00
