Solution Days 2006 provides in-field education at new location

Nebraska

Solution Days 2006 will provide practical solutions to everyday agronomic questions. The annual educational event Aug. 29-30 will be at a new location this year, 3 miles north of York off of Highway 81 on the west side of the road.

Farm operators and professionals supporting corn and soybean production in Nebraska are invited to attend and will hear and see the latest information from University of Nebraska-Lincoln faculty and industry crop production and protection specialists.

The program is from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day with in-field presentations. The program format is the same each day.

Presentations include: Understanding Plant-to-plant Variability in Corn, The New Soybean--A Changing System, Sensor-Based In-Season Nitrogen Management and Agricultural Water Management Strategies.

Field day officials noted last year's audience represented nearly half a million acres from 43 Nebraska counties and producers from Iowa and Kansas.

Solution Days 2006 is sponsored by NK Brand--Syngenta and the Nebraska Soybean Board in partnership with UNL Extension in the university's Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
