Sioux Falls feeder pigs

The Sioux Falls feeder pig auction, Sioux Falls, S.D., Aug. 22, reported receipts of 588 head, compared to 1,006 head two weeks ago and 1,087 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Compared with two weeks ago, feeder pigs sold mostly $3 to $6 higher. All sales based on actual weight and by the head.

U.S. 1 to 2: 25 head, 49 lbs., 40.00; 42 head, 55 lbs., 45.00; 25 head, 68 lbs., 57.00; 36 head, 85 lbs., 57.00.

U.S. 1 to 3: 33 head, 52 lbs., 39.50; 34 head, 58 lbs., 41.00; 16 head, 66 lbs., 48.50; 58 head, 75 lbs., 50.00.

U.S. 2 to 3: 40 head, 36 lbs., 15.00; 67 head, 79 lbs., 40.00.
