Newell sheep sales reportCompared to last week slaughter ewes sold steady to weak on a light test. Trends on feeder lambs not applicable due to light receipts. Receipts were about 36% slaughter ewes, 28% bum lambs, 23% feeder lambs, 6% aged bucks, 5% replacement ewes and the balance was miscellaneous sheep and 1 goat/ Slaughter ewes: Good 2 to 3, 30 head, 173 lbs., 29.00. Good 2 to 4, 6 head, 208 lbs., 20.75. Utility 1 to 2, 38 head, 149 lbs., 26.25. Cull 1, 18 head, 138 lbs., 22.25. Feeder lambs: Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 11 head, 80 lbs., 95.00; 38 head, 82 lbs., 99.00 new crop; 8 head, 122 lbs., 68.00. Exposed ewes: Large frame 1, wooled, exposed to whiteface bucks, 6 head, yearlings, 191 lbs., 120.00 per head. Aged bucks: 10 head, fleshy, 248 lbs., 23.00; 7 head, medium and thin 192 lbs., 12.50.
