The Springfield Livestock Marketing Center, Springfield, Mo., Sept. 21, reported 2,938 head, compared to 3,150 head last week and 3,075 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Jefferson City, Mo.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and Holsteins were mostly steady to $2 lower. Feeder heifers were steady. Demand was moderate, for moderate supply. The feeder supply included 46% steers, 13% Holsteins, 36% heifers, 4% bulls, with 26% over 600 pounds.
