Sioux Falls feeder pig auction
The Sioux Falls feeder pig auction, Sioux Falls, S.D., reported receipts of 390 head Sept. 20, compared to 554 head two weeks ago and 483 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Compared with two weeks ago, feeder pigs sold steady to $5 lower with most decline on smaller lot consignments. Demand was light with few buyers attending, fall harvest well under way. All sales based on actual weight and by the head.
U.S. 1 to 2: 45 to 48 lbs., 45.00 to 49.00 (45.65); 30 head, 53 lbs., 54.50 reputation; 30 head, 67 lbs., 51.00.
U.S. 1 to 3: 7 head, 29 lbs., 18.00; 90 head, 34 lbs., 27.00; 6 head, 38 lbs., 26.00; 15 head, 44 lbs., 38.00; 8 head, 53 lbs., 36.00; 56 to 59 lbs., 41.00 to 44.50 (43.38); 15 head, 61 lbs., 45.00.
