South Central direct sheep
The South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending Oct. 21 showed receipts of 300 feeder lambs and 400 slaughter goats, according to the USDA Market News Service, San Angelo, Texas.
Compared with last week, feeder lambs were not tested. There were no recent comparisons on replacement ewes. Slaughter goats were weak. Trading was at a standstill. Feeder lambs in short supply as the fall run is mostly complete.
Feeder lambs: Texas, 300 head, Medium and large frame 1 and 2, bred solid mouth whiteface 105.00 per head.
Slaughter meat goats: Kids, 400 head, Selection 1 to 2, 50 to 65 lbs., 102.00.
