Sioux Falls sheep salesThe Sioux Falls, S.D., reported estimated receipts of 1,200 sheep and goats, with actual receipts nearly 1,750 head, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, slaughter lambs were fully steady. Slaughter ewes were steady to weak. Feeder lambs were mostly steady. Sheep supplies were nearly 60% slaughter lambs with about 26% feeder lambs and the balance was mostly slaughter ewes. Slaughter lambs: Shorn, Choice end Prime 2 to 3, No 1 to 2 pelts, package 138 lbs., 94.00, 33 head, 113 lbs., for ethnic trade 101.25. Wooled, Choice end Prime 2 to 3, 117 to 122 lbs., 96.75 to 97.50; 131 to 148 lbs., 94.25 to 95.75; 27 head, 159 lbs., 90.00. Slaughter ewes: Utility and Good 2 to 3, 41.00 to 46.00. Cull 1 to 2, 30.00 to 37.00. Feeder lambs: Medium and large frame 1 and 2, 52 to 60 lbs., 131.00 to 138.00; 74 to 86 lbs., 123.00 to 129.25; 90 to 93 lbs., 117.50 to 118.50; 103 lbs., 111.00. Slaughter goats: Kids, Selection 1, 40 to 60 lbs., 115.00 to 120.00; 60 to 80 lbs., 100.00 to 110.00. Selection 1 to 2, 40 to 60 lbs., 100.00 to 113.00; 60 to 80 lbs., 95.00 to 105.00.
