The Presho Livestock Auction, Presho, S.D., reported receipts of 3,660 head Oct. 13, compared to 2,250 head last week and 3,052 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Compared to two weeks ago, yearling steers and heifers sold $1 to $2 higher. There was no test on calves as this was first calf sale of the season. Yearlings sold in potloads. The offering included 47% steers, 47% heifers, and 6% bulls, with 62% over 600 pounds.
