Woodward livestock auction report

The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 5,712 head Nov. 18, compared to 5,400 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady. Feeder heifers were steady to $2 higher. Steer calves under 500 pounds were steady to $2 higher, heavier weights were $2 to $3 lower. Heifer calves were steady, except 550 pounds were $2 higher. Demand was good for all classes. Quality was average, few plain. Fill was average, few full. The supply was comprised of 50% steers, 46% heifers with 61% over 600 pounds.
