The South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending Nov. 11, reported 1,200 feeder lambs, 300 slaughter lambs, 800 slaughter ewes and 500 slaughter goats, according to the USDA Market News Service, San Angelo, Texas.
Compared to last week, feeder lambs and slaughter kids were steady. Trading was slow, demand was moderate. The majority of lambs have already traded and supplies are very limited.
Feeder lambs: Texas, 1200 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 80 lbs., 120.00.
Slaughter lambs: Texas, 300 head, Good and Choice 1 to 2, hair sheep 60 to 65 lbs., 108.00 to 110.00.
Slaughter ewes: New Mexico, 800 head, Utility and Good 1 to 3, 55.00 to 57.00.
Slaughter meat goats: Kids, 500 head, Selection 1 to 2, 50 to 60 lbs., 105.00.
