The Sioux Falls sheep auction, Sioux Falls, S.D., reported estimated receipts of 600 head Nov. 21, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Compared to last week, slaughter lambs were $2 to $4 lower. Slaughter ewes were steady to $1 higher. Feeder lambs were lightly tested. Demand was moderate. Supplies were nearly 51% slaughter lambs with about 26% feeder lambs and the balance mostly slaughter ewes.
Slaughter lambs: Wooled, Choice end Prime 2 to 3, 136 to 153 lbs., 83.50 to 84.75. Choice 2 to 3, returning to the feedlot 130 to 132 lbs., 87.25, 119 lbs., 96.75. Shorn, Choice end Prime 2 to 3, No 1 to 2 pelts. 48 head, 135 lbs., 87.50.
Slaughter ewes: Utility and good 2 to 3, 42.00 to 47.00. Cull 1 to 2, 32.50 to 39.00.
Feeder lambs: Medium and large frame 1 and 2, 60 to 66 lbs., 130.00 to 136.00; 82 lbs., 123.00, 94 lbs., shorn 116.00.
