Pratt Livestock Sales Inc., Pratt, Kan., reported receipts of 2,269 head Nov. 17, compared to 3,029 head last week and 1,677 head last year, according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Dodge City, Kan.

Compared to last week, feeder steers weighing 300 to 650 pounds and feeder heifers weighing 300 to 600 pounds were not enough for a market test but a higher undertone was noted. Feeder steers weighing 650 to 1000 pounds and feeder heifers weighing 600 to 1000 pounds were $2 higher in a light supply. Trade was active, demand good. Slaughter cows were steady. Slaughter bulls were $3 higher. Receipts included 48% 600 pounds and over, 39% 600 pounds and under, 13% cows and bulls. The feeder supply included 57% heifers and 43% steers.
