Pratt livestock sales marketPratt Livestock Sales Inc., Pratt, Kan., reported receipts of 5,030 head May 19, compared to 6,044 head last week and 3,923 head last year, according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Dodge City, Kan. Compared to last week, feeder steers 300 to 800 pounds and feeder heifers 300 to 650 pounds were steady to firm in a light supply. Feeder steers 800 to 1050 pounds were $1 to $4 higher. Feeder heifers 650 to 950 pounds were steady. Trade was active, demand was good. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. Receipts included 91% 600 pounds and over, 4% 600 pounds and under, 5% cows and bulls. The feeder supply included 60% steers and 40% heifers.
