Tulsa livestock market reportThe Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 1,805 head June 20, compared to 2,358 head last week and 1,570 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, lightweight steers were mostly steady with feeder steers $2 lower. Lightweight heifers and feeder heifers were $2 to $3 lower. Quality was a little plainer. Demand was good with good attendance of buyers. Weigh to ups were mostly average. Receipts were comprised of 31% steers, 50% heifers, 17% of bulls, with 23% of feeder cattle over 600 pounds. A total of 300 cows and bulls sold with 54% going to packers. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to $1 lower. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 10 head, 279 to 297 lbs., 168.00 to 176.00 (172.51); 11 head, 300 to 348 lbs., 154.00 to 167.00 (160.07); 18 head, 352 to 390 lbs., 148.00 to 157.00 (153.38); 18 head, 400 to 445 lbs., 142.00 to 154.00 (144.85); 457 to 499 lbs., 126.00 to 144.00 (131.75); 500 to 545 lbs., 119.00 to 128.00 (124.52) calves; 17 head, 550 to 575 lbs., 111.00 to 122.00 (116.35) calves; 605 to 640 lbs., 113.50 to 120.00 (116.70) calves.
