The Tulia Livestock Auction Inc., Tulia, Texas, reported receipts of 1,945 head June 20, compared to 6,075 head last week and 2,196 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Amarillo, Texas.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were mostly steady. Slaughter cows were $2 to $3 higher. Slaughter bulls were not well tested. Trade was active. Demand was good. The bulk of the supply were Medium and large frame 1 and 2, 600- to 950-pound feeder steers and heifers. Feeder cattle accounted for 96% and slaughter cows and bulls 4% of the run. In the feeder supply, steers made up approximately 77% of the run, heifers 23%, steers and heifers over 600 pounds totaled 97%.

Steers: Medium and large frame 1, 750 to 800 lbs., 109.00 to 112.60; 800 to 875 lbs., 105.00 to 110.00, several loads 847 lbs., full 104.75; load 923 lbs., 98.00. Medium and large frame 1 and 2, 400 to 475 lbs., 130.00 to 136.00; 625 to 700 lbs., 113.50 to 116.50; 700 to 800 lbs., 103.50 to 112.50; 800 to 900 lbs., 94.50 to 104.00. Medium and large frame 2 and 3, 425 to 500 lbs., 111.00 to 121.00; 525 to 575 lbs., 113.00 to 115.00; 700 to 750 lbs., 98.00 to 105.00, package 746 lbs., Brahma Cross 110.00; lot 806 lbs., 89.00.

Heifers: Medium and large frame 1, several loads 718 lbs., 108.00. Medium and large frame 1 and 2, package 351 lbs., 129.00; few 448 lbs., 119.00; package 566 lbs., 118.00; 600 to 660 lbs., 105.00 to 108.00; 700 to 800 lbs., 96.50 to 102.00; lot 824 lbs., 87.50. Medium and large frame 2 and 3, 675 to 700 lbs., 95.00 to 99.50; package 749 lbs., 95.50.

Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 1 and 2, package 593 lbs., 109.00; few 660 lbs., 112.00; 725 to 775 lbs., 98.00 to 105.00; lot 891 lbs., 87.50; package 957 lbs., 85.50.

Slaughter cows: Breakers, 75 to 80% lean, over 1200 lbs., 53.75 to 56.50, few. Boners, 80 to 85% lean, 1200 to 1600 lbs., 55.25 to 57.50, few. Lean, 85 to 90% lean, 1200 to 1600 lbs., 58.75 to 63.00, few; 85 to 90% lean, 1000 to 1200 lbs., 57.00 to 59.50, few; 85 to 90% lean, 800 to 1000 lbs., 53.00 to 57.00, few; 85 to 90% lean, under 800 lbs., 49.00 to 51.75, few.

Slaughter bulls: Yield grade 1 and 2, 1450 to 2200 lbs., 71.00 to 74.00, few; high dressing, 1985 lbs., 78.50.

Replacement cows: Medium and large frame 1 to 2, young to middle-aged, 1360 to 1630 lbs., 5 to 7 months bred, 740.00 to 870.00 per head.
