The Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., June 22, reported 291 head, compared to 265 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla.
Compared to last week, the limited receipts were due to Wheat harvest, and so there was a limited test on all classes to test trends. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average. Quality was average. A total of 19 cows and bulls sold.
Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 487 lbs., 135.00; 22 head, 724 lbs., 115.50; 107 head, 948 lbs., 100.50. Medium and large frame 2, 10 head, 550 lbs., 114.00 Mexican. Medium and large frame 3, 6 head, 490 lbs., 117.00 Mexican; 5 head, 790 lbs., 96.00.
Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 1, 12 head, 407 lbs., 149.00; 7 head, 495 lbs., 134.50; 5 head, 527 lbs., 128.50.
Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 557 lbs., 116.50 calves; 6 head, 721 lbs., 108.00. Medium and large frame 2, 8 head, 438 lbs., 127.50.
Slaughter cows: Breakers, 2 head, 75 to 80% lean, 1300 to 1450 lbs., 60.25; low dressing, 55.00. Boners, 11 head, 80 to 85% lean, 1000 to 1250 lbs., 59.00; high dressing, 60.00 to 62.00. Lean, 1 head, 85 to 90% lean, 1000 lbs., 58.00.
Slaughter bulls: Yield grade 1 and 2, 2 head, 1500 to 1600 lbs., 71.50; high dressing, 76.50.
