St. Joseph feeder pig auction
The St. Joseph feeder pig auction, St. Joseph, Mo., June 21, reported receipts of 630 head, according to the USDA Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo.
Compared to last week, feeder pigs sold weak to $8 lower with instances sharply lower late in the sale. Heavy supply on hand that included a couple of large consignments. The bulk of the supply weighed between 50 to 70 pounds. Prices paid per head on actual weights.
U.S. 1 to 2: package 37 lbs., 45.75; package 42 lbs., 40.00 Hot house; package 55 lbs., 57.75; package 58 lbs., 50.00 Hot house; package 62 lbs., 60.00; package 70 lbs., 55.00 Hot house; package 78 lbs., 61.50; package 86 lbs., 70.00.
U.S. 1 to 3: 30 to 35 lbs., 30.00 to 36.50; 50 to 55 lbs., 46.00 to 53.75; 55 to 60 lbs., 43.50 to 50.00; package 66 lbs., 55.50; package 85 lbs., 60.50.
