Pratt Livestock Sales Inc., Pratt, Kan., reported receipts of 967 head June 16, compared to 2,561 head last week and 945 head last year, according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Dodge City, Kan.

Compared to last week, feeder steers 800 to 950 pounds and feeder heifers 600 to 1000 pounds not enough for market test but a steady to firm undertone was noted. Trade was active, demand was good. Slaughter cows were steady. Slaughter bulls were $1 lower. Receipts included 60% 600 pounds and over, 20% 600 pounds and under, 20% cows and bulls. The feeder supply included 57% heifers and 43% steers.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 4 head, 294 lbs., 155.00; 39 head, 507 lbs., 134.00; 18 head, 574 lbs., 127.50; 66 head, 835 lbs., 111.85; 12 head, 851 lbs., 108.35; 54 head, 910 lbs., 106.50. Medium and large frame 1 and 2, 2 head, 632 lbs., 118.00; 7 head, 802 lbs., 107.00; 8 head, 908 lbs., 102.25. Medium and large frame 2, 17 head, 393 lbs., 131.00; 700 to 750 lbs., 106.50 to 107.50 (106.91); 750 to 800 lbs., 104.00 to 105.00 (104.32). Medium frame 2 and 3, 10 head, 765 lbs., 92.00. Large frame 3 Holsteins, 4 head, 586 lbs., 96.00; 3 head, 693 lbs., 88.50; 6 head, 956 lbs., 80.50.

Slaughter cows: Boners, 80 to 85% lean, 60.00 to 65.00 (62.18). Lean, 85 to 90% lean, 54.00 to 59.00 (57.33); low dressing, 48.00 to 53.00 (49.58).

Slaughter bulls: Yield grade 1 and 2, 71.00 to 76.00 (74.29); low dressing 65.00 to 70.00 (67.30).
