St. Joseph feeder pig auction
The St. Joseph feeder pig auction, St. Joseph, Mo., July 19, reported 311 head, according to the USDA Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo.
Compared to last week, the bulk of the run sold steady with 60 pound feeder pigs selling $2 higher. Demand was good on this week's small run, especially for the large consignments. Prices paid per head on actual weights.
U.S. 1 to 2: package 40 lbs., 41.00; lot 107 head, 52 lbs., 48.00; lot 143 head, 60 lbs., 50.00.
U.S. 1 to 3: package 39 lbs., 41.00; package 60 lbs., 49.00; package 112 lbs., 40.00.
