The OKC West Livestock Market Inc., El Reno, Okla., reported receipts of 3,749 head July 20, compared to 7,264 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week at OKC West, feeder steers were steady to $2 higher. Feeder heifers were steady. Demand was very good for feeder cattle. Steer and heifer calves were steady to $2 lower in a light test. Demand was moderate for few calves. Quality was plain to average. Weigh to ups were average to many full. Feeder cattle were in slightly thin to moderate flesh conditions. Slaughter cows were steady to $2 lower. Slaughter bulls were steady to $1 lower. Packer demand was moderate for light receipts. A total of 79 cows and bulls sold with 55% going to packers. The supply consisted of 89% over 600 pounds, 9% under 600 pounds, 2% cows and bulls. Heifers comprised 29% of feeder and calf supply.
