The South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receipts of 2,525 head Jan. 26, compared to 2,500 head last week and 2,300 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Compared to last week, feeder steers under 700 pounds were steady to $1 higher. Feeder heifers were firm at 400- to 600-pounds. Both feeder steers and heifers were weak to $2 lower at weights over 750 pounds. Offerings included 75% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers made up 70% of the run, heifers 30%.
