The North Platte Livestock Auction, North Platte, Neb., Jan. 25, reported receipts of 2,400 head, compared to 1,700 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Neb.

No comparisons to last week, due to no feeder sale. Steers accounted for 60% and heifers 40% of the offering, with 73% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 526 to 532 lbs., 143.00 to 144.00 (143.11); 576 to 582 lbs., 124.00 to 129.75 (126.14); 33 head, 555 lbs., 140.00 value enhanced; 610 to 635 lbs., 116.75 to 122.00 (119.63); 611 lbs., 124.00 to 127.00 (126.66) value enhanced; 650 to 698 lbs., 110.00 to 117.00 (112.21); 709 to 743 lbs., 106.25 to 109.25 (107.47); 754 to 795 lbs., 101.50 to 103.00 (102.34); 832 to 848 lbs., 101.00 to 106.00 (103.73). Medium and large frame 1 and 2, 617 to 642 lbs., 114.75 to 115.00 (114.80); 676 to 689 lbs., 104.00 to 109.00 (106.52).
