Tulsa cattle sales reportThe Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 1,253 head Feb. 14, compared to 1,392 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, stocker steers were steady to $2 higher. Lightweight stocker heifers were $4 to $6 higher, 400- to 600-pound heifers were steady to $2 higher. Feeder cattle were steady to $2 lower. Good attendance of buyers and active on all classes. Quality was plain to average, few attractive. Cattle were in thin to fleshy condition. Receipts were comprised of 49% steers, 49% heifers with 14% feeder cattle over 600 pounds. A total of 175 cows and bulls sold with 35% headed to packers. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady, with instances $1 higher. Slaughter bulls were steady.
