The Springfield Livestock Marketing Center, Springfield, Mo., reported receipts of 2,600 head Feb. 16, compared to 1,400 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Jefferson City, Mo.

Compared to last week, steers were steady, the exception was 500 weights were $3 to $5 higher, Holsteins were unevenly steady, heifers under 650 pounds were $2 to $5 higher, over 650 pounds were steady. A good percentage of weaned and vaccinated calves in the mix. Demand was moderate to good, the supply was moderate. The feeder supply included 44% steers, 10% Holsteins, 42% heifers, 4% percent bulls, with 43% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 345 to 400 lbs., 136.00 to 149.00; 400 to 450 lbs., 133.00 to 143.00, 450 to 500 lbs., 125.50 to 137.00; 500 to 550 lbs., 126.00 to 131.00, fleshy 117.00 to 122.00, 550 to 600 lbs., 113.00 to 124.00, fleshy 110.00 to 115.00; 600 to 650 lbs., 105.50 to 116.00, calves 105.00 to 108.00, 650 to 700 lbs., 100.00 to 107.00; 700 to 800 lbs., 98.00 to 106.00; package 807 lbs., 98.50, package 802 lbs., 95.00. Medium and large frame 1 and 2, few thin 300 to 400 lbs., 128.00 to 134.00; 400 to 500 lbs., 120.00 to 134.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 109.00 to 124.50; 600 to 700 lbs., 101.50 to 111.00; 700 to 755 lbs., 100.50 to 103.00; 850 to 900 lbs., 94.75 to 95.50.
