South central direct sheep sales reportThe South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending Feb. 18 showed receipts of 2100 feeder lambs and 400 slaughter goats, according to the USDA Market News Service. San Angelo, Texas. Compared to last week feeder lambs and slaughter goats were steady. Trading was moderate, demand was good. Lambs are coming off small grain fields and most will be moved by the end of the month. Feeder lambs: Texas, 2100 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 80 to 90 lbs., 120.00 to 125.00; 90 to 100 lbs., 115.00 to 120.00. Slaughter meat goats: Kids, 400 head, Selection, 40 to 80 lbs., 130.00 to 135.00. Selection 2, 40 to 80 lbs., 127.00 to 132.00. Date: 2/24/05
