Sioux Falls feeder pigs
The Sioux Falls feeder pig auction, Sioux Falls, S.D., reported 1,212 head Feb. 22, compared to 605 head two weeks ago, and 2,126 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Compared with two weeks ago, feeder pigs sold mostly steady with some reputation offerings $3 to $5 higher. All sales based on actual weight and by the head.
U.S. 1 to 2: 44 head, 18 lbs., 41.00; 41 head, 44 lbs., 67.00; 110 head, 49 lbs., 72.50 reputation; 55 to 59 lbs., 74.50 to 76.50 (75.12); 28 head, 71 lbs., 70.00; 78 head, 85 lbs., 85.00; 143 head, 83 lbs., 91.50 reputation; 117 head, 88 lbs., 95.00 reputation.
U.S. 1 to 3: 14 head, 37 lbs., 55.00; 22 head, 69 lbs., 63.00; 29 head, 79 lbs., 75.00; 58 head, 85 lbs., 83.00.
U.S. 2 to 3: 51 to 54 lbs., 48.00 to 56.00 (50.86).
