The Farmers and Ranchers Livestock Commission Co., Salina, Kan., reported receipts of 2,665 head Feb. 10, compared to 3,760 head last week and 4,758 head last year, according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Dodge City, Kan.

Compared to last week, 500- to 700-pound feeder steers were steady to $1 higher, 700- to 800-pound steers were $3 to $4 lower, and 800- to 950-pound steers were $1 lower. Feeder heifers weighing 400 to 650 pounds were steady to $1 lower, and 650- to 900-pound heifers were $1 to $2 lower. Slaughter cows were not tested. Trade was active. Demand was good. Receipts included 92% 600 pounds and over, 7% 600 pounds and under, less than 1% slaughter cows. The feeder supply was 65% steers and 35% heifers.
