Pratt Livestock Sales Inc., Pratt, Kan., reported receipts of 2,769 head Dec. 15, compared to 1,247 head last week and 2,688 head last year, according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Dodge City, Kan.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and feeder heifers weighing 300 to 600 pounds were not enough for market test but a higher undertone was noted. Feeder steers weighing 600 to 950 pounds were steady. Feeder heifers weighing 600 to 900 pounds were mostly steady with instances of $2 higher. Trade was active, demand was good. Slaughter cows were steady. Slaughter bulls were $1 higher. Receipts included 72% 600 pounds and over, 19% 600 pounds and under, 9% cows and bulls. The feeder supply included 50% heifers and 50% steers.
