Receipts at Dodge City Winter Livestock Inc., Dodge City, Kan., Dec. 14, totaled 2,613 head, compared to 3,184 head, last week and 3,276 head last year, according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Dodge City Kan.

Compared with last week, feeder steers weighing 300 to 650 pounds were $3 to $5 higher, 650 to 1000 pounds were firm to $1 higher. Heifers weighing 300 to 900 pounds were $3 to $5 higher. Slaughter cows were firm to mostly $2 higher. Slaughter bulls were firm to $1 higher. Trade was very active, demand very good. Receipts included 70% 600 pounds and over, 23% 600 pounds and under, 2% bred cows, and 5% slaughter cows and bulls with 125 head, early. The feeder supply included 67% steers and 33% heifers.
