Tulsa livestock auction reportThe Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 2,061 head April 18, compared to 1,812 head last week and 2,233 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, steers were $2 to $5 higher. Heifers were $2 to $4 higher. Quality was average to attractive with average weigh-ups. Demand was good on all classes with good attendance of buyers. Receipts were comprised of 49% steers, 39% heifers, 11% bulls with 15% of feeder cattle over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were $2 higher. Slaughter bulls were $3 higher, 350 cows and bulls sold with 41% going to packers.
