Woodward auction report

The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 4,364 head Sept. 10, compared to 3,782 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady, over 900 pounds were $1 to $2 higher. Feeder heifers were steady to $3 higher. Steer calves under 450 pounds were steady to $3 lower, 500- to 650-pound steer calves were $3 higher, 650- to 750-pound steer calves were $3 to $4 lower. Heifer calves under 500 pounds were $1 to $3 lower, heavier weights were steady to $2 higher. Quality was average to plain. Fill was average to full. The supply was comprised of 50% steers, 48% heifers with 70% over 600 pounds.
