Nebraska Wheat meeting set for Oct. 1

The Nebraska Wheat Development, Utilization and Marketing Board has scheduled their next meeting on Friday, Oct. 1, 2004 in Lincoln at Chase Suites, located at 200 So 68th Place. The meeting will convene at 8:30 a.m.
Agenda items will include reviewing the Biennium budget for FY 2005-2007, reports on program activities in the areas of research and market development, and reports on recent meetings. The public is invited to attend all or any portion of this open meeting. The Nebraska Wheat Board administers the one and one quarter cent per bushel excise tax levied on Wheat marketed in Nebraska. The Board invests the funds in programs of international and domestic market development and improvement, policy development, research, promotion and education.
