Presho cattle sale notes
The Presho Livestock Auction, Presho, S.D., reported receipts of 3,052 head Oct. 14, compared to 3,022 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Compared to two weeks ago, feeder steers and heifers sold mostly steady. About 25% of the run was yearlings, with the remainder being calves. Most of the calves had their fall shots. The offering included 70% steers, and 30% heifers. Mostly potloads in the yearlings department, with 36% over 600 pounds.
