TDA secures grapefruit fungicide exemptionTexas Agriculture Commissioner Susan Combs announced today that the Texas Department of Agriculture has been granted approval by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to issue a Section 18 specific exemption allowing the use of Enable 2F Fungicide to control greasy spot (Mycosphaerella citri) on grapefruit. Enable 2F, manufactured by Dow AgroSciences, may be used following all applicable directions, restrictions and precautions on the label as well as in the exemption notice. Existing stocks bearing the previous EPA registration number Rohm and Haas, EPA Reg. No. 707-231, may also be applied. The exemption expires Nov. 5, 2005. Applications should be made only by certified applicators, licensed applicators or persons under the direct supervision of licensed applicators. All applicators must have a copy of the exemption approval notice in their possession prior to any applications.
