TCFA names officers, boardTexas The Texas Cattle Feeders Association (TCFA), during its 2004 annual convention in San Antonio, named the officers and directors who will lead the group for the coming year. Charlie Sellers of Amarillo is chairman of the board; John Gillcrist of Kansas City, Mo. is chairman-elect; and Don McCasland of Clovis, N.M. is vice chairman. Cattle feeders elected to one-year terms on the board of directors are Howard Hinkle of Wichita Falls; Walter Lasley of Stratford; Steve Lewis, DVM of Hereford; Johnny Scribner of Perryton; Mike Shafer of Hartley; and Charlie Sellers of Amarillo. Elected to two-year terms were Michael Bentley of Canadian; Monte Cluck of Gruver; John Gillcrist of Kansas City, Mo.; Jason Hitch of Guymon, Okla.; Scott Nelson of Dalhart; and Gene Scivally of Amarillo. Directors chosen for three-year terms are Mike Engler of Amarillo, Tom E. Fanning of Buffalo, Okla.; Don McCasland of Clovis, N.M.; Jonny Miller of Amarillo; Daryl Berlier Owen of Amarillo; and William W. Snead of Dalhart. In addition, the two immediate past chairmen serve on the board. They are Ernie Morales of Devine and Scott Keeling of Hereford. TCFA represents cattle feeders in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico, an area that produces 30 percent of the nation's fed beef. Date: 11/24/04
