South Central Direct sheep sales report
The South Central Direct sheep sales report for the week ending Nov. 19, showed receipts of 300 slaughter goats, according to the USDA Market News Service, San Angelo, Texas.
Compared to last test feeder lambs, slaughter ewes, replacement ewes and replacement goats were not tested. Slaughter goats were steady. Trading at a standstill. Supplies are very limited and rain throughout the area brought trading to a halt.
Slaughter meat goats: Kids, 300 head, Selection 1, 40 to 60 lbs., 125.00 to 130.00; 60 to 80 lbs., 122.00 to 127.00. Selection 2, 40 to 60 lbs., 120.00 to 127.00; 60 to 80 lbs., 120.00 to 125.00.
