Lexington cattle sales

The Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., Nov. 19, reported receipts of 1,700 head, compared to 2,400 head last week and 2,500 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Neb.

Compared to last week, steer and heifer offerings were too few to establish an adequate market trend. A weaker undertone was noted on the limited supply. Demand was light to moderate. Steers accounted for 70%, heifers 30%, with 56% of the total receipts weighing over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 29 head, 402 lbs., 139.75; 43 head, 486 lbs., 131.75; 502 to 531 lbs., 121.50 to 129.00 (123.63); 550 to 594 lbs., 112.50 to 117.50 (114.17); 625 to 645 lbs., 108.75 to 110.00 (109.15); 673 to 693 lbs., 106.50 to 110.00 (108.97); 11 head, 702 to 743 lbs., 102.50 to 103.25 (102.97); 16 head, 809 lbs., 103.75; 186 head, 889 lbs., 90.00; 901 to 939 lbs., 92.50 to 95.85 (93.10). Medium and large frame 1 and 2, 9 head, 480 lbs., 128.00; 15 head, 543 lbs., 113.00; 17 head, 550 to 594 lbs., 103.00 to 108.00 (104.68); 6 head, 629 lbs., 108.00; 6 head, 659 lbs., 103.25; 866 to 889 lbs., 85.00 to 90.00 (89.53); 82 head, 977 lbs., 85.25. Large frame 1, 21 head, 591 lbs., 108.50; 32 head, 674 lbs., 106.00.
