Watertown livestock sales
The South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receipts of 1,400 head May 12, compared to 1,400 head last week and 1,400 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold steady. Demand was good. The offering included 24% steers, 76% heifers with 96% over 600 pounds.
Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 9 head, 586 lbs., 120.00; 9 head, 645 lbs., 113.50; 11 head, 713 lbs., 107.25; 12 head, 809 lbs., 107.00; 5 head, 855 lbs., 100.00; 900 to 931 lbs., 93.50 to 96.75 (94.60); 6 head, 958 lbs., 90.25 fleshy.
