Watertown cattle sales
The South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receipts of 1,400 head May 5, compared to 850 head last week and 1,200 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Compared to last week, feeder steers were up $4 to %5. Feeder heifers were steady. Offerings included 70% feeder steers, 30% feeder heifers, with 95% over 600 pounds.

Medium and large frame 1 and 2, 12 head, 757 lbs., 101.75; 23 head, 848 lbs., 98.25; 8 head, 878 lbs., 96.60; 976 to 978 lbs., 87.25 to 89.75 (88.24); 8 head, 1072 lbs., 88.00; 9 head, 1149 lbs., 90.00.
