Wheat groups seek comments on cooperative dealKansas The Kansas Association of Wheat Growers (KAWG) and the Kansas Wheat Commission (KWC) are seeking input from Wheat producers about a cooperative agreement between the two organizations. The Wheat producers of Kansas should have the very best representation that can be provided. With a goal of further enhancing and maximizing effectiveness, efficiency and communication, the KAWG and KWC Long-Range Planning Committees have been jointly studying the feasibility of a cooperative agreement between the two Kansas Wheat organizations. The proposed agreement would leave KAWG and KWC intact as separate organizations, allow for one CEO and shared staff in a common facility, strengthen the committee system with members from both organizations, and provide the opportunity for more joint meetings. Written comments should be submitted to KAWG or KWC by May 1, 2004, via e-mail, fax or mail, with a decision to be made before June 1. Date: 3/11/04
