Watertown sales report
The South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receipts of 1,850 head March 17, compared to 2,000 head last week and 1,820 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Compared to last week, feeder cattle were steady to $1 higher. The offering included 57% feeder steers, 43% heifers, with 98% weighing over 600 pounds.
Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 605 to 612 lbs., 109.50 to 110.50 (110.19); 10 head, 645 lbs., 106.00 fleshy; 652 to 697 lbs., 99.25 to 104.00 (101.48); 712 to 743 lbs., 94.00 to 98.80 (96.48); 730 to 736 lbs., 93.00 to 93.75 (93.66) fleshy; 769 to 795 lbs., 89.50 to 93.00 (90.36); 805 to 847 lbs., 84.50 to 89.50 (87.42); 869 to 885 lbs., 83.50 to 85.50 (83.74); 906 to 932 lbs., 84.75 to 87.00 (85.59); 902 to 937 lbs., 83.75 fleshy; 6 head, 1010 lbs., 83.75. Medium and large frame 1 and 2, 14 head, 554 to 557 lbs., 101.00; 9 head, 627 to 643 lbs., 97.50 to 101.00 (99.47); 17 head, 651 to 655 lbs., 93.00 to 95.50 (95.06); 13 head, 709 lbs., 91.75; 5 head, 773 lbs., 90.50.
