Watertown cattle sale notes
The South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receitps of 2,250 head Feb. 24, compared to 2,600 head last week and 2,650 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Feeder cattle were steady to $1 lower. There were deep discounts for fleshy cattle. The offerings included 65% steers, 36% heifers, with 76% weighing over 600 pounds.
