Wabaunsee County Cattlemen's BanquetKansas It is time to enjoy a delicious beef dinner, entertainment, and learn about current events in the beef industry, at the Wabaunsee County Cattlemen's Banquet on March 29. This will all be taking place at the Mission Valley High School, rural Eskridge, beginning with dinner at 6:30 p.m. A person only needs an interest in the beef industry to attend this banquet. Evening activities include presentation of the Cattlemen's Scholarship and a report from the Kansas Livestock Association. Entertainment will be provided by Don Coldsmith. Coldsmith is a western writer, the author of the Spanish Bit Saga, and a weekly columnist in the "Grass and Grain". The evening will wrap up with a door prize drawing. You are sure to enjoy this entertaining evening and get up-to-date on the current issues in the beef industry in Wabaunsee County. Tickets are $10.00 per person and are available from the following Wabaunsee County banks: Alta Vista State Bank, Alta Vista, 1st National Bank of Harveyville, Harveyville; 1st National Bank of Wamego, Alma; Stockgrowers State Bank, Alma, Paxico and Maple Hill; and Flint Hills Bank of Eskridge, Eskridge. You also may stop by the Wabaunsee County Extension office to purchase tickets. Date: 3/11/04
