Torch stops garden weeds
Flame Engineering, LaCrosse, Kan., offers the Weed Dragon, a propane-fueled torch designed for home garden consumers.
Like the larger controlled flame equipment row crop farmers use for combating weeds, the Weed Dragon makes it possible for home gardeners to deal with weeds in an effective manner.
The 100,000 BTU Weed Dragon quickly hooks up to any propane tank, such as a barbecue cylinder, and comes with an hand-tighten tank fitting. The Weed Dragon and dolly have received the National Home Gardening Club Member Tested Seal of Approval. It is powerful enough to take care of the most stubborn weeds, generating heat up to 2,000 degrees F. Just a split second of exposure to the intense heat is all it takes to stop weeds.
