South central direct sheep sales reportThe South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending July 16, showed receipts of 15,900 feeder lambs and 400 slaughter goats, according to the USDA Market News Service, San Angelo, Texas. Compared to two weeks ago, feeder lambs and slaughter goats were steady. Trading and demand were moderate for limited supplies. Most lambs have been marketed and supplies will be limited until fall. Feeder lambs: Texas, 1800 head, Medium and large frame 1 and 2, 60 to 75 lbs., 112.00 to 115.00; 80 to 90 lbs., 110.00 to 112.00. New Mexico, 10,000 head, Medium and large frame 1 and 2, 75 to 95 lbs., 108.00 for October. 3600 head, Medium and Large frame 1 and 2, 80 to 85 lbs., 115.00 for November. Slaughter meat goats: Kids, 400 head, Selection 1, 40 to 60 lbs., 115.00 to 120.00; 60 to 80 lbs., 113.00 to 118.00. Selection 2, 40 to 60 lbs., 113.00 to 118.00; 60 to 80 lbs., 112.00 to 116.00.
