TOWING SYSTEM--Putnam Hitch Products, Bronson, Mich., now offers the Freedom Towing System. The Freedom System separates the traditional fifth wheel assembly, moving the fifth wheel head to the trailer pinbox in an inverted position. The head couples to a kingpin adapter located in the "lock and load" under-bed mounting assembly. When towing, the rig operates as a conventional fifth wheel.
