Woodward livestock salesThe Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported 1,475 head Feb. 6, compared to 6,128 head last week, according to the USDA Market News service, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady, except 600-pound stocker heifers were $3 higher. There was a limited test on steer and heifer calves. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average to full. Quality was average. The supply was comprised of 67% steers, 33% heifers with 83% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were steady. Slaughter bulls were $2 higher. A total of 467 cows and bulls sold with 16% going to packers.
