The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported 5,443 head Feb. 13, compared to 1,475 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers weighing 600 to 800 pounds were $1 to $2 higher, heavier weights were steady. Feeder heifers were steady to $1 higher. Steer calves were in a limited test, a higher undertone noted. Heifer calves were steady to $2 higher. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average to full. Quality was attractive to average, few plain. The supply was comprised 70% steers, 29% heifers with 91% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were steady on fleshy cows, lean cows $1 higher. Slaughter bulls were $1 higher. A total of 378 cows and bulls sold with 68% to packers.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 403 to 430 lbs., 119.00 to 127.00 (122.92); 8 head, 458 to 481 lbs., 115.00 to 118.00 (116.09); 10 head, 507 to 548 lbs., 104.00 to 111.00 (107.99); 551 to 593 lbs., 99.00 to 107.00 (102.38); 12 head, 616 to 641 lbs., 95.75 to 97.00 (96.18); 650 to 699 lbs., 89.35 to 95.00 (92.06); 704 to 737 lbs., 87.00 to 91.25 (89.97); 754 to 789 lbs., 85.00 to 89.25 (87.58); 800 to 836 lbs., 83.75 to 85.75 (84.72); 860 to 898 lbs., 80.75 to 82.60 (81.50); 910 to 940 lbs., 79.00 to 81.00 (80.32); 977 to 990 lbs., 77.25 to 80.75 (80.09). Slaughter cows: Breakers, 6 head, 75 to 80% lean, 1275 to 1725 lbs., 45.50 to 47.00. Boners, 98 head, 80 to 85% lean, 1100 to 1650 lbs., 46.50 to 49.00; high dressing, 50.00 to 54.00; low dressing, 42.50 to 46.00. Lean, 128 head, 85 to 90% lean, 850 to 1525 lbs., 47.00 to 49.00; high dressing, 49.50 to 53.00; low dressing, 42.00 to 46.00.

Slaughter bulls: Yield grade 1 and 2, 26 head, 1800 to 2200 lbs., 62.00 to 65.00; high dressing, 65.50 to 69.00.

Replacement cows: Medium and large frame 1, heifers, 1003 to 1100 lbs., 8 months bred, average, blacks 830.00 to 870.00; heifers, 1000 lbs., 8 months bred, average quality, 750.00; 7 to 10 year olds, 1225 to 1350 lbs., 4 to 8 months bred, average quality, 750.00 to 760.00.

Pairs: Medium and large frame 1, 8 to 9 year olds, 1150 lbs., with 100- to 150-lb. calves, average quality, 810.00.
