Waynoka FFA attends judging contest, cattle showBy Ashley Clapper Waynoka FFA Reporter Waynoka FFA members attended the Northwest District Livestock Judging Contest in Enid, Okla., on Jan. 28. Waynoka FFA members did well in bringing home top honors for the day. Results are as follows: Senior 4-H: Clark Bixler, first place high individual; Jana Nickelson, second place high individual; Kela Kelln, fourth place high individual; first place high team, Clark Bixler, Jana Nickelson, Kela Kelln and Nathan Lyon; fifth place high team, Mitchel Nutter, Keith Melton, Ryan Murrell and Matt Curry. Senior FFA: Andy Ferguson, fourth place high individual; fourth place high team, Andy Ferguson, Ashley Clapper, Savannah Hill and Jenna Treece. Also participating for the day were, Blake Hamand, Jade Cardenas, Jake Meade, Clint Meade, Spencer Lyon and Brian Tidwell. On Jan. 31, Waynoka FFA members also attended a cattle show in Laverne, Okla. Bringing home top honors also were: Evan Wofford, second place Polled heifer; Clark Bixler, second place Shorthorn; Katie Jo Fuqua, first place commercial heifer; Layne Meriwether, first and reserve champion Maine heifer.
